I felt like starting the day with something creative so made my cake a day early. My fortieth year begins with a few carrot cake cupcakes topped with cream cheese-lemon frosting--and with Forget-Me-Nots, too, to remind me to take as good of care of myself as I do of everyone and everything else in my life. Forty! ♥ How sweet is that!

Happy Birthday to a marvelous 40 yr old..:)
HaPpY (belated) BiRtHdAy, Val! I'm sorry to be late but the good wishes are still there. Each and every birthday is wonderful (even the not so wonderful ones...smile). Hopefully you and Mike did something special to make good memories.
My, how did I MISS this last week!!?? I hope your Birthday was a splendid one, with cake and celebrations and all sorts of festivities to celebrate that marvelous person that is YOU.
Forget me nots---my first thought was Angelica, which I confuse with candied violets? I think. Anyway, that just sounds so festive and important and delicious and befitting a ROYAL cake, I also think you should HAVE that.
Many many more!!

Thank you, Barb, Monique, Sandra, and Rachel. :) I need to get caught up post-visit home. Thank you all so much. Yay, my forties! ♥
PS I must add that I've had much more fun since I turned Forty yea these decades ago, than ever before in my "youth."
r just noticing in my pre-coffee state that my initial is a perfect representation of a tiny lily bell.
I'm hoping for that in my forties too, Rachel. Mom has said how much she liked her forties also.
And yes. . .you and your Lily of the Valley, (r). :)
