O Love-Star of the Unbeloved March ~ Sir Aubrey de Vere

The best thing about this time of year is seeing my beloved Daffodils in bloom all over town. Yesterday's rain and snow bent them some, but they're no less beautiful for it.

So far it's just crocuses for us, and they will be under 8-13" of snow by this time tomorrow. Sad. Still hope for the daffodils, though!

How sweet that we share "our" flower, Cindy. :)

And Martha: Ugh, more snow! But all the "Daffodil days" are still ahead for you this way. They'll be gone here for another year by the time you see yours. If that makes you feel better. :)

Hello again,Val.

My poor daffs didn't last too long and some didn't bloom this year. We have had a strange winter, one of our coldest. I don't think some fruit trees are going to bloom either.

I love the Laura Ingalls Wilder quote. My two children read all the books and the TV series.

The Daffodils in your photo look pretty, Glenda, even if as many of them didn't bloom as in the past. My Tulips did that one spring--they sprouted but didn't form a flower.

And I love and admire Laura Ingalls Wilder so much. I have been wanting to get back to Missouri for years to visit her home there again. You have such a beautiful state. And I was there in the fall, which was just truly heaven on earth to me. :)
