In another happy window scene, tonight I am getting to see my faux-stained glass roses again: Finally, a night that is cool enough to be comfortable with the window closed! I'm not a summer person so am utterly thrilled with this change. Autumn: Bring it! ♥

Two Charming Things

Love!! You have such a warm personality---and the colors in your photos make me smile. Your kitty is precious, too.

Thank you, Jane! ♥
What a cutie pie, just like you! We have not had much of a summer here. I think we may have had one night where we had to have the windows open to sleep, the rest have been pretty cool. xoxo
Thank you, Marie, and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that sounds heavenly. This has been one of the most miserable-feeling summers I can remember: Rainy, hot, and humid. Blechh. The last time I liked summer, I was probably 11 years old.
Stuffed looks completely content and relaxed. Great photo.
Wow, I'm jealous, you're feeling autumn already. Yesterday I checked the weather just after I mowed and it was 87 and felt like it was 107. Just AWFUL!
Enjoy your cooler weather ~ FlowerLady
Thank you, Lorraine--and only cooler the past couple days. It's been in the upper 80s here too, and our forecast is again supposed to hit 89, 90, and 91 this next week.
Cute, cute Stuffed! I'm no fan of summer, either! We are actually having some fall-like temps a few mornings this week! xo
Good Morning, Miss Val of the Riotous Tresses, the Glorious Green in which my view-finder always tints your life, and the several-years-now wedding which I remember as fondly as family.
I saw the other day that you had joined Lawn Tea, and was delighted to see that charming, shy photo with its own secret smile of Good Things and painted roses and a STUFFED cat magically alive and secure.
So much has filled the years since we met, so much togetherness and need-to-bes and looking afters and writings-down, and this year has been a wading-mud-whirlwind of cluttered rooms necessaried by the creation of a new kitchen (blinding white and Sweet-'n;-Low-Packet-PINK) with all the obliged walking-overs and stepping-arounds and then where DID we put that big barbecue brush, and I KNOW WE HAVE FOUR COLANDERS---why can't I find ONE???
We're all in the kitchen now, cooking and companying and house-guesting and birthday partying (I had no clue what Monster High WAS until eight-year-old Birthday Girl requested that theme last week---did YOU know that Frankenstein and Dracula and the Mummy and even GOLDILOCKS procreated and produced a gaggle of fashionista teens with Valley Girl accents and Jimmy Choo shoes? Photos and blog to follow).
But the ordered perfect shelf-liner is still rolled in the cartons, the lovely baskets and containers still not quite filled nor stashed RIGHT where they'll go, the colanders all found, and stacked neatly beneath the shelf, and the blender, with its own cubby here beside the processor, still upstairs handy to the patio for some endless fount of Margaritas required by a succession of guests lasting since May.
And so. That's me. How YOU doin'?
Don't know quite where you are, but hope you're enjoying this SEVENTIES weather and cooler nights.
May all be well and all be well with you,
rachel
He always looks so pretty no matter what position he's in! Very cute. I'm also so pleased at today's coolness - the heat is returning next week.
Hi, Nellie, thank you. Enjoy this weather!
Thank you, Rachel. :) I just emailed you. ♥
Lisa, yes, he'd have to try pretty hard not to be cute. 'Probably true of all cats, that. :) This weather is glorious! Until the upper 80s and low 90s return this next week, yes.
Like your temps, it's been 42 degrees F these past few nights. I'm sleeping in a flannel nightgown with the dogs pressed close to share body heat. It's supposed to be a harsh winter so I've been prepping...ordering black locust wood for the stove, propane and oil. It's time to be a busy little ant.
Oh-so-cute Stuffed with that sweet little paw hanging on to his dish. Such a great pic...
Hi, Sandra. Yes, you'll be so grateful this winter for all that prep. ♥
Thank you, Cheryl. :)
