Yes, this is so true. And it's not a matter of selfishness, but more like encouraging oneself.

Pretty roses dear Val, and they look so lovely in your sweet place.

P.S. What did you have in mind for a needleworked heart?

What beautiful roses Monique. I love the quote you opened with. It is the secret to being joyful in life. Everyone needs a treat, and money need not be spent. It is in the simple things. xxoo

Lisa, I really like that way of looking at it: Encouraging oneself. That's a nice way of thinking of it. And this bouquet was only $3.99! 'Silly not to treat myself more often when it's such a small splurge.

Lorraine, thank you--and I will email you about the heart. :)

Monique, I remember well the Cabbage Patch craze. :) How sweet that those were your first two "saves." :) And thank you. Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, and Holly Hobbie are all happy memories for me--and some of oldest memories. Such sweet, good characters. ♥

Marie, thank you. And yes.
